My Flight Deck
This page will always show the latest version my flight simulator setup. I want to keep track of how it has progressed since it all started here. Soon I'll post more pictures of how it began and how it has transformed into how it looks today.
Added G1000 screens
- Bought two 10.4" HDMI screens and designed and 3D printed a mount so I can pop out the G1000 screens and maximize them in the two new displays.
- Reorganized all the instruments to make room for the G1000 screens
- Finally did some cable management with wire loom from Amazon
What's Next
- Figure out how to send events to the G1000NXi in game via a custom WASM plugin, since the G1000NXi doesn't work with the SimConnect SDK's events.
- Once implemented, integrate it with my
Instrument Panel Pluginapp, so I can control the game's PFD and MFD with custom knobs and push buttons - Redesign the G1000's faceplates to accommodate for the buttons and knobs and print them.
- Arduino Sketch for a microcontroller board for the buttons and knobs
- Redesign the G1000's back plate to mount the microcontroller and USB cable.
